Tracy Johns is CLUA’s Program Officer for Natural Carbon Capture based in Washington DC. Prior to CLUA, she was a Carbon Finance Specialist at the World Bank, working for the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility. Her responsibilities there included serving as focal point for a number of African country portfolios as well as a lead role in developing engagement between FCPF programs and the private sector.
From 2012 to 2015, Tracy worked in REDD program development and implementation as the Director of Jurisdictional Programs with Wildlife Works. And before that, she worked with WHRC and IPAM, from 2007 to 2012. Earlier in her career, Tracy also worked at the Union of Concerned Scientists, and at the UNFCCC secretariat. She remains on the UNFCCC roster of expert reviewers for greenhouse gas inventories for land use, land-use change, and forestry. From 2008-2012 she served as coordinator of the multistakeholder Forum on Readiness for REDD.
