Rohini Chaturvedi is an experienced international development professional, with expertise in advancing land-based solutions to the climate crisis which center Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
Prior to joining CLUA, Rohini worked with several donors to design and deliver large-scale climate and land use strategies, focused on supporting the needs of Indigenous Peoples and local communities. She was a key part of the management team for the World Resources Institute’s (WRI) Global Restoration Initiative, establishing the organisation’s forests and restoration program in India.
With CLUA, Rohini is focused on developing ambitious strategies to protect tropical forests and the rights of those who defend them. She is also supporting the development of large-scale Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning framework.
Rohini has a MPhil and PhD in Geography (political ecology stream) from the University of Cambridge, where she was a Gates Scholar and the recipient of the Overseas Research Studentship. She also has a MBA in Forestry Management and a BA in Psychology. Rohini serves on the Board of the Global EverGreening Alliance and co-chairs the Boards Fundraising & Partnerships Committee.
