Melissa Tupper
Communications Director
Climate and Land Use Alliance
Melissa Tupper is the Climate and Land Use Alliance’s Communications Director.
For over 15 years, Melissa has worked with non-profit organizations focused on protecting the planet – by tackling climate change, conserving forests and oceans, protecting wildlife, making transportation more sustainable, and getting children outdoors and engaged in caring for nature.
Before joining CLUA, Melissa led communications for the World Wildlife Fund’s global Forest and Climate Initiative and for WWF-Canada’s marine conservation work on the Pacific Coast of British Columbia. While studying sea turtles in Greece, Melissa realized she was not a particularly good scientist. She’s been dedicated to environmental communications ever since.
Melissa has an MA (Environmental Education and Communications) from Royal Roads University and a BSc (Biology) from the University of British Columbia.
