Dubán is the Program Officer for the Colombia-Perú initiative. He has more than 16 years of experience on conservation and sustainability at various international organizations and local organizations in Colombia. Prior to this role, he worked in project management roles with tropical forest and biodiversity conservation programs of the public and private sectors including Botanical Gardens of Medellin and Bogotá in Colombia, developing a portfolio of cooperation with others stakeholders in Germany, Spain, and the Unites States. He has a well-established experience on conservation and sustainability. Dubán has supported grantmaking operations and innovative proposals and programs with a variety of CSOs and governmental institutions.
Dubán holds a B.Sc. in Biology from Distrital University of Bogotá, a Master degree on Biological Science from National University of Colombia, and a Doctoral degree on Natural Science from Freie Universität Berlin. In addition to his native Spanish, Dubán is also proficient in English and German.
